About The Position
The Special Education Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with disabilities. This role requires effective communication with staff, parents, and students, as well as adherence to state and local regulations regarding educational practices. The teacher must maintain a positive classroom environment, manage materials effectively, and ensure that all students are engaged and learning. The position also involves diagnosing student needs, developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and collaborating with other educators and service personnel to support student success.
