We are looking for hardworking individuals to roll layers of fiberglass and resin to hulls and decks. This will include use of rollers, brushes, and a fiberglass gun. Layup employees also insert metal reinforcement pieces into the boat parts, do some light sanding and grinding and other duties as assigned. This is a first shift position, and the hours are from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Starting pay for this position is $15.40/hour Passing a respirator fit test, wearing a respirator, and being clean shaven are REQUIRED All positions are safety sensitive. A safety sensitive position is any position designated in writing by an employer, in which a person performing the position while under the influence of marijuana may constitute a threat to health or safety. Qualified candidates will be asked to submit to drug testing AND a respirator evaluation test. Tools used in this occupation include but are not limited to: Personal Protective Equipment- Safety Glasses, half- mask respirator, Tyvek protection suit. Hand Tools- Rollers, Fiberglass chop gun, grinders, sanders, and scissors. Working directly with fiberglass and resin. Wash tank chemicals (S280/Super Blue) used for cleaning hands/brushes. Knowledge includes but is not limited to: Be able to use and maintain a variety of hand tools. Some knowledge of composites Be able to complete basic installations. Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
