As a Layout Welder, you’ll take projects from blueprint to build, fabricating high-quality steel parts, fixtures, and assemblies with precision and skill.

Requirements

• AWS certification + advanced welding experience
• 2+ years of layout welding or metal fabrication experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficiency with metal fabrication tools & equipment
• Safe overhead crane operation
• Mechanical aptitude, solid math skills & sharp attention to detail
• Clear communication skills to train and support

Nice To Haves

• Technical course certification (a plus!)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• Lay out work using Bluco tables or modular fixturing equipment
• Perform advanced welding, rework, and repairs as needed
• Inspect in-process and finished work to ensure top-quality results
• Maintain welding tools and equipment to keep operations running smoothly
• Provide training and mentorship to new welders when needed
• Step in with production welding assignments as required
