About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder
I is an entry-level welding position, with all work being completed with close
supervision.

Requirements

• Perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds
• Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld
• Perform measurements within specified tolerances
• Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
• General knowledge of equipment and operations.
• Basic understanding of Weld symbols
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
• Accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
• Make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
• Be dependable and trustworthy.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 year(s) of welding experience preferred.
