About The Position

Segula Technologies is hiring a Layout Engineers to develop and optimize workstation layouts for a major automotive assembly program. This role focuses on developing the material strategy layouts — ensuring all assembly stations meet safety, quality, and launch readiness standards in collaboration with Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain 2D and 3D workstation layouts using AutoCAD in alignment with production flow and plant constraints. Identify and specify equipment for the material presentation on the layout Perform field checks to identify any monuments and confirm the accuracy of the layout Provide build and installation drawings to the build team Participate in pilot builds and process validation to verify layout accuracy and resolve design-related issues. Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on ergonomics, productivity, and space utilization. Maintain accurate station documentation, drawing revisions, and design change logs. Work with the area lead to ensure the assigned area of the plant is ready to support build events

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience) or Manufacturing or Industrial Technology
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of ergonomics, station design, lean manufacturing, and tooling integration.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Understanding of automation or material handling systems used in modern assembly operations.
