The USAID Office of the General Counsel (OGC) serves as the Agency's Chief Legal Office, providing advice on legislative, administrative, and program matters. OGC represents USAID in legal matters, including administrative and litigation, congressional investigations, and interagency legal coordination. The USAID Office of General Counsel is looking for licensed attorneys to handle employment law matters generally. If they have not already, these lawyers will need to familiarize themselves with federal employment rules, including grievance procedures. As needed, these lawyers will be expected to support litigation arising from non-personnel matters, including assisting in the representation of USAID in federal and administrative litigation arising under the Contract Disputes Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, the False Claims Act, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), and the Federal Tort Claims Act, among others.
