About The Position

Under the supervision of an Assistant Manager or designated supervisor, you will perform a variety of general lawn and landscape maintenance tasks, including applying fertilizers, maintaining landscape design, removing weeds and dead plants, and performing minor repairs. This role is essential to ensuring the health, growth, and aesthetic appeal of plants, flowers, lawns, and garden structures. Upholds the values of the GPA to promote Safety, Integrity, Respect, Community, Creativity and Opportunity. Promotes a safe work environment by participating in safety initiatives and reporting unsafe conditions and behaviors.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a variety of maintenance equipment, including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers.
  • Solid understanding of basic lawn care practices and pest control methods.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive work ethic.
  • Creative problem-solving and landscaping approach.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good physical stamina and overall health to perform outdoor tasks for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • 4-6 years Experience in landscaping or grounds keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, blowing, and weed control.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as cleaning walkways, repairing fountains, and other related duties.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Remove weeds and dead plants to maintain landscape health and appearance.
  • Trim overgrown limbs, hedges, and foliage.
  • Apply pesticides to control harmful insects such as mosquitoes, wasps, and ticks.
  • Maintain landscaping design and support ongoing plant growth.
  • Plant decorative bushes, flowers, plants, and shrubs to enhance aesthetic appeal.
  • Load and unload equipment and tools onto work vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Operate work vehicles and trailers for transportation to and from job sites.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols consistently.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on landscaping equipment.
