What You'll Do... As a Lawn Technician you'll spend your days outdoors helping customers keep their lawns healthy, green, and pest-free. You'll identify lawn and pest issues and apply treatments, monitor lawn conditions, and step in with recovery plans when lawns need extra care. Your role will include checking on customer properties, spotting issues early, and making sure each yard gets the attention it needs to thrive. You'll also build trust with customers by keeping them informed and following through on lawn recovery efforts. What does it take to be a successful Lawn Technician at Turner Pest Control? For starters, you'll be enthusiastic and dedicated with a keen eye for detail and love of customer service. You'll also have... The ability to safely move about customer locations, ascend/descend stairs and ladders to service out of the way areas, and position yourself to conduct service under/around furniture, equipment, and tight spaces The ability to safely move items and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds The ability to work outdoors in all regular seasonal weather conditions The flexibility to assist in various service departments within the branch as needed Basic math skills to measure and mix product applications accurately The ability to operate a variety of hand tools and equipment safely The ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes an OSHA compliant respirator in some cases Technical proficiency with computers, smart phones, etc. Held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English Good oral and written communication Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.) Availability to work some weekends High school degree or equivalent We’re proud to serve you.
