Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must pass company drug screen and background check.
  • Attention to detail and pride in work are necessary characteristics.

  • Experience in lawn spraying (1 year required).

Responsibilities

  • Transport, handle, mix, and apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to properties.
  • Manage an assigned pool of customers, ensuring quality and consistency in service delivery.
  • Inspect properties to identify pest, pathogenic, or cultural problems in landscape ornamentals and turf grass.
  • Utilize GPS for effective routing of scheduled stops.
  • Perform scheduled services timely and dutifully to maintain customer accounts.
  • Demonstrate competence in diagnosing and treating issues related to turf grass and ornamentals within a training period.
  • Provide excellent customer service as per company standards.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales contracts for customers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Prepare paperwork to certify and maintain records of services performed.
  • Conduct quality checks and follow-ups on account services.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns in the field, escalating unresolved issues to management.
  • Communicate product and service opportunities or feedback to appropriate staff.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean condition and report any damages or concerns to management.
  • Participate in training events and provide on-the-job training to new technicians.
  • Assist other technicians with their routes as needed.
