The Service Leader is responsible for providing a range of lawn care services including aeration, seeding, and tree and shrub care. This involves making timely lawn and landscape applications using both hand and powered equipment to apply fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides. The role requires working independently or as part of a crew to service properties on an assigned route, ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies, and guidelines from the Virginia Department of Agricultural Services. The Service Leader will manage routes using mobile device management, conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of customer properties, and provide agronomic advice to resolve service issues. Customer interaction is key, including addressing concerns and identifying opportunities to sell additional services. Post-service, a final inspection is required to ensure completeness and cleanliness, with all services accurately documented using mobile technology. Additionally, the role involves maintaining company vehicles and equipment, assisting in the training of new service leaders, and contributing to the maintenance and cleaning of the facility and grounds. For aeration and seeding, the Service Leader also acts as a Crew Leader, overseeing the crew, safely transporting equipment to job sites, and ensuring all work is performed efficiently and neatly, followed by a final inspection to confirm quality and tidiness.
