Lawn Care Technician
About The Position
Stark Exterminators is seeking a full-time Lawn Care Technician to deliver exceptional service to Lawn and Ornamental customers. This role involves evaluating and diagnosing lawn and ornamental needs, and applying fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides using hand and powered equipment. Stark Exterminators is part of the Arrow Exterminators family of brands, a family-owned and operated business since 1964, now servicing 12 states. The company is the sixth-largest pest and termite control company in the United States, known for its family values, welcoming work environment, and commitment to quality. The position is an independently run role, requiring a self-motivated individual.
Requirements
- Ability to pass the state of Florida's Best Management Practices exam for lawn care and maintain any state regulatory agency-required licensing
- Able to pass internal technical exams
- Possess current Driver's License
- Maintain a driving record consistent with company standards
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to work a 40-hour (minimum) workweek
- Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide uncompromised service to Lawn and Ornamental customers
- Evaluate and diagnose lawn and ornamental needs
- Use hand and powered equipment to apply fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides
- Be responsible for the maintenance of a company vehicle and all company equipment provided
- Schedule and keep appointments with customers
- Ask customers about the issues they are experiencing
- Identify insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and other conducive conditions through a thorough search of the customer's property
- Explain to the customer the next course of action once the source of the problem is determined
- Draw diagrams or graphs of the treatment plan
- Answer any additional questions about the service proposed
- Collect on payments due once the service has been completed
- Suggest any other services that would benefit the customer
