Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• Previous landscape/lawn care experience.
• Previous experience in a supervisor/managerial role.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider.
• Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, general business instructions, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with daily operational challenges with a calm demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws.
• Operate ground maintenance equipment.
• Drive trucks or other vehicles to or at work sites.
• Prune trees and shrubs.
• Plan landscaping projects, including mowing, edging, pruning, mulching, and trimming.
• Schedule work for 10 – 12 homes and check for weather conditions before convening.
• Enforce contract agreements.
• Mow lawns with riding and self-propelled walk behind mowers.
• Whack weeds, trim bushes, and edge lawns using a variety of machines.
• Sweep walkway of debris.
• Cut down tree limbs that are posing a danger.
• Trim shrubs and pull weeds.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in ground keeping.
• Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, HIPAA, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.
• Directly supervise Lawn Care and Landscape Associates.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; reviewing employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
