The Superior Court of California, County of Contra Costa, is announcing an open recruitment for a Law Student Intern/Volunteer for the summer of 2025. This is a volunteer/unpaid position with a final filing date of December 09, 2024. The internship is specifically for first-year law students (1L) who must apply directly to this posting for consideration. The placement locations include Contra Costa County-Martinez, Pittsburg, Walnut Creek, and Richmond. The assignments are geared towards highly motivated and self-reliant individuals who prefer a low-profile, behind-the-scenes role in the legal research process. Duties may include drafting objective memorandums on various legal matters, performing legal research, reviewing and preparing tentative rulings for Law & Motion Calendars, and other assigned duties.
