About The Position

This position is for a Law Enforcement Specialist within the Department of Homeland Security, specifically in the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) in Williston, Vermont. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must certify registration with Selective Service.
  • Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience, one year of which was equivalent to the GS-04 grade level, or a bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and experience for GS-5 level.
  • Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-05 grade level or equivalent for GS-7 level, or a full year of graduate education, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: One year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent for GS-9 level, or a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree, or a combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze precise, accurate information pertaining to noncitizen status and develop reports for dissemination.
  • Conduct and coordinate analytical assignments and/or research projects in support of investigations.
  • Evaluate and interpret findings for submission to engage in data analysis.
  • Analyze the impact of new regulations and directives on local operations and prepare complete and comprehensive written reports.
  • Represent the agency in outreach programs with various local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
