Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Less than 2 years of experience in law enforcement or related field
• Basic knowledge of law enforcement practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Applications

• Knowledge of firefighting techniques

Responsibilities

• Maintains designation required to operate as a law enforcement officer pursuant to the authority given by the Board of Governors.
• Meets minimum requirements of all department standards and training requirements.
• Develops, demonstrates, and maintains proficiency in operating policies, weapons, physical security equipment, first aid and CPR, firefighting techniques, civil disorders, and public relations.
• Exhibits sound judgment over life safety issues and handles sensitive information and incidents appropriately.
• Performs security and safety-related duties, patrols building/grounds, and responds to alarm conditions.
• Monitors surveillance equipment, intercoms, telephones, radios, and other specialized equipment.
• Monitors Bank departments for safety or security violations and reports findings to management.
• Prepares shift reports, incident reports, and other required paperwork.
• Controls pedestrian and vehicle access to the facility using screening equipment.
• Inspects vehicles entering security-sensitive areas for unauthorized personnel or contents.
• Monitors and authorizes visitors accessing Bank facilities and records visitor data.
• Conducts initial investigations into accidents and incidents as needed and makes proper notifications.
• May testify in court regarding accidents or incidents as required.
• Develops proficiency in the use of personal computers and related software.
• Participates in special assignments to protect dignitaries of a Reserve Bank or the Board of Governors.
