Requirements

Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and airport personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and communicating with airport representatives, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout terminals, public areas, restricted areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify identification and/or credentials where required, and support screening, entry control, and incident reporting procedures in accordance with site-specific protocols.
Support government location operations by observing for suspicious behavior, assisting with crowd and traffic management, and following post orders related to weapons handling, reporting, and emergency communications.
