About The Position

We are seeking two motivated and detail-oriented Law Department Interns for Summer 2026 to support the Contracts team within the Law Department. The interns will assist with routine contract administration, organization, and compliance tracking of sales contracts and purchasing contracts in a structured and fast-paced federal government contractor environment. Following corporate transition activities and related updates to federal registrations, the interns will assist with contract lifecycle administration, maintenance of contract records in HighQ (Contract Lifecycle Management System), reconciliation of company information across U.S. Government systems, and development of internal workflow documentation. This position provides hands-on exposure to contracting operations and supports the operational efficiency of the Law Department during a period of growth and increased regulatory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (upperclassman preferred), Master’s degree, or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Coursework in business law, public administration, government contracting, compliance, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior internship or office/administrative experience preferred
  • Experience working with structured documents, spreadsheets, or digital systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow structured processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments under supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional discretion when handling confidential government-related information
  • Interest in government contracting and regulatory compliance
  • U.S. Citizenship required; ability to successfully pass a background check and security vetting required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support action on HighQ requests submitted to Law Department
  • Update SDI’s presence in U.S. Government websites
  • Maintain contractual records in HighQ
  • Assist with tracking contract periods of performance (PoP), option periods, renewals, and close-outs.
  • Provide routine contract administration and documentation support to the Contracts team
  • Develop training resources for HighQ
  • Support HighQ user maintenance
  • Draft workflow/process documentation
