Position Purpose: Under general supervision, the Law Clerk assists attorneys by performing routine legal research; preparing preliminary legal documents; and completing assigned special projects. Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: Conducts routine legal research; prepares written memoranda and summaries, as required. Prepares preliminary drafts of legal briefs, pleadings, and other legal documents for attorney review. Creates seminar materials and outlines in preparation for presentations by attorneys. Works with firm attorneys and clients on various special projects. Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains document file. Occasionally attends court hearings with attorneys. Files pleadings with court clerk and performs additional courthouse errands, as assigned Complete all required training applicable to this position Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position Other duties, as assigned
