About The Position

Law Clerks/Judicial Attorneys review and analyze arguments presented in a variety of motions and memoranda involving all areas of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction under Article IV, Section 2(B) of the Ohio Constitution. In addition, Law Clerks/Judicial Attorneys research and prepare initial drafts of merit opinions at the direction of the Justice.

Requirements

• Applicants must be law school graduates
• licensed to practice and in good standing with excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• The ability to work independently, collaboratively, and efficiently is required.
• The successful applicant will be expected to perform his or her duties on a daily basis in the Thomas J. Moyer Ohio Judicial Center in Columbus.

Nice To Haves

• Prior clerkship experience with an Appellate Court Judge or a Supreme Court Justice is preferred.
