Program Details: Start Date: May/June 202 6 Duration: 12-16 weeks Location: Hybrid out of our Denver office, frequency flexible Zayo is seeking an Intern Law Clerk to be primarily responsible for assisting the corporate legal team. The Intern Law Clerk will gain exposure to a variety of corporate contracts and their negotiation, as well as the various stages of litigation, including dispute resolution and discovery. Learning Outcomes: Gain broad legal experience including contract negotiation, management, and disputes. Gain industry experience, robust knowledge of HR processes and procedures, an education in telecom, and understanding of Zayo’s foundational role in broadband. Strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills. Exposure to a variety of networking opportunities.

Requirements

  • Applicants must currently be enrolled in their first or second year of a Juris Doctor (JD) program.
  • Applicants must be enrolled in a degree or certificate seeking program for the fall semester of 2026
  • Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree
  • Self-starter who takes initiative.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems and industry background to achieve efficient results.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in handling legal disputes with customers and third parties.
  • Review customer and vendor contracts, including NDAs, IT vendor contracts, and real estate contracts.
  • Assist with smaller projects related to corporate governance, M&A and commercial contracting.
  • Assist on labor and employment law issues.
  • Research unique legal issues.
  • Generally support corporate legal group
