About The Position

The Adjunct Faculty Member reports to the Law School's Associate Dean for Faculty & Curriculum. Some of the responsibilities of this role are: Teach a course on International Negotiations : International Negotiations explores the unique legal and cultural issues that impact negotiations in a global context, including business development and dispute resolution in both public (government) and private sectors. The course is skills-based, featuring simulated negotiations drawn from real-world scenarios, combined with lectures and discussions on core negotiation principles. It develops practical techniques applicable to transactional law, litigation, and mediation. The adjunct faculty member will not be asked to attend department meetings. She or he will be expected to spend some time outside of class to address questions related to the class. Time taught to be determined by the applicant's schedule.

Requirements

  • JD required.
  • Required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Must be an active member of the Utah Bar.
  • The applicant must have knowledge of the topic and significant teaching experience.

  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
