The Adjunct Faculty Member reports to the Law School's Associate Dean for Faculty & Curriculum. Some of the responsibilities of this role are: Co-teach a course on Criminal Prosecution & Defense: Live-client interactions under the supervision of seasoned practitioners. Emphasis on the development of professional skills, including legal research and writing, counseling, interviewing, negotiation, mediation, and problem solving. Students can expect to spend time in court prosecuting or defending cases, representing clients, and, if circumstances permit, handling evidentiary hearings and trials. Students completing this course will be prepared to take an entry level position at a public defender's or prosecutor's office with little additional training. The adjunct faculty member will not be asked to attend department meetings. She or he will be expected to spend some time outside of class to address questions related to the class. Time taught to be determined by the applicant's schedule.
