About The Position

General Purpose Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders. Essential Duties Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents. Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed. Label new resident’s clothing items as needed Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties. Maintain inventory of laundry supplies. Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner. Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator Qualification GED or High School Diploma 1 year of experience preferred Physical Demands Lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods throughout the workday. Perform repetitive motions, including folding and sorting. Work in warm or humid environments produced by laundry machines. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals or detergents. Must have manual dexterity for operating laundry equipment safely.
