About The Position

The Laundry position at our hotel is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing the laundering, drying, folding, and organizing of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry with meticulous attention to detail. The successful candidate will ensure that all items are processed efficiently and returned in pristine condition, supporting the overall guest experience. Requirements

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills to follow instructions and manage laundry processes.
• Previous experience in a laundry or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying laundry loads.
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards relevant to laundry operations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality laundry setting.
• Familiarity with industrial laundry machines and stain removal techniques.
• Basic knowledge of fabric care and handling different types of textiles.
• Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and pressing machines according to safety and operational guidelines.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry items promptly and accurately.
• Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to management for appropriate action.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to meet daily laundry demands and special requests.
