About The Position

Responsible for opening, emptying, sorting, and counting bags of soiled hospital-owned linens into established linen classifications. This position requires appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Responsible for inspecting lab coats and jackets, ensuring that finished products are of high quality; treating any stains prior to the wash process.
Responsible for inspecting lab coats and jackets, ensuring that finished products are of high quality; pressing lab coats and warm-up jackets through the steam tunnel or the press; preparing linens for shipping to correct customers.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of safety standards.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with an attention to detail and follow-through.
• Ability to work and communicate in a richly diverse environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
• Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift such as push, pull, and lift.
• Energetic, self-starter.
• Basic ability to speak and understand English.
• Attendance is an essential function of the job.
