About The Position

The Laundry Driver/Washer is responsible for ensuring the efficient pickup, delivery, and processing of linens, towels, and other laundry items across the resort. This role supports the seamless flow of laundry operations by managing loading, washing, drying, and distribution tasks while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and timeliness. Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers. Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of department needs that would be outlined by supervisor.
  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good to Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift minimum weight of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances.
  • Must physically be able to transport linen(s) over the course of a full shift, and remain standing for a vast majority of that shift.
  • Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress, and must be able to remain calm.

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and deliver linens and towels to resort outlets on schedule.
  • Weigh, load, wash, dry, and unload laundry while maintaining proper cleaning procedures.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure efficient processing of all resort linens.
  • Complete assigned driving routes and maintain communication with supervisors via company cell phone.
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper chemical handling.
  • Keep workstations organized, stocked, and ready for the next shift.
  • Report equipment issues, shortages, or safety hazards promptly.
  • Perform duties independently and uphold resort policies and core values.
  • All other duties, as assigned.
