Laundry Utility Driver
About The Position
Willow Valley Communities is hiring a Full Time Laundry Utility Driver to drive a box truck to pick-up and transport linens or other items to pre-determined destinations according to assigned schedule. Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 1 year customer service experience required
- 2 years driving experience required (truck driving experience is a plus)
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License with clean driving record
- Candidate must possess a high energy attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- truck driving experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Comply with all company safety policies and guidelines related to personal safe work practices.
- Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring timely and correct delivery of product.
- Common daily activities include: Loading product onto truck, securing truck loads for safe transport, transporting loads to various locations, safely unloading product, maintaining proper product inventory levels, etc.
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle following all applicable laws and company policy.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform regular vehicle inspections.
- Accurately prepare route paperwork.
- Follow established departmental procedures.
- Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed by supervision.
- Work with and support other service personnel as required by supervision.
- Cross train in all aspects of the laundry operation to include sorting, laundering, drying, folding and ironing.
- Cross train in all aspects of the warehouse operation to act as a resource for delivery and pick-up of inventory.
