About The Position

LAUNDRY TECHNICIAN Join our Environmental Services (EVS) Team at Moab Regional Hospital! We are seeking a skilled Laundry Technician to join our team in Moab, UT. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining laundry equipment, ensuring that all laundry is cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards, and managing inventory of laundry supplies. This is a non-exempt, full-time position that i ncludes premium-free medical and dental benefits for the employee and their dependents. Requirements

  • Able to work effectively both as part of a small team and independently.

  • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, push/pull equipment, and meet other mobility requirements.
  • Able to lift/move up to 30 lbs. without assistance and lift/move weights beyond 30 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner.
  • Reliable and timely with work schedule.
  • Flexible and willing to accept other duties as assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospital and/or professional housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines
  • Sort and wash laundry according to color, fabric, and type
  • Ensure that all laundry is cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards
  • Manage inventory of laundry supplies and order new supplies as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
