About The Position

The Laundry Technician is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the Laundry Department and to deliver an excellent Guest experience. Additional responsibilities include training, scheduling and supervising personnel within the department. Holds Staff members accountable for achieving the cleanliness, organization and service standards of Ovation Sienna Hills.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of laundry techniques (washing, drying, folding), chemical handling requirements and use of equipment.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with Residents, Management and Co-workers to their understanding.
  • Ability to provide legible communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality experience as a Hotel or Condominium Laundry Technician or Laundry Assistant.
  • Franchise brand experience (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.).
  • Previous guest relations training.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate in a second language (preferably Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Running the day-to-day operations of the Laundry Department.
  • Delivering an excellent Guest experience.
  • Training, scheduling and supervising personnel within the department.
  • Holding Staff members accountable for achieving the cleanliness, organization and service standards of Ovation Sienna Hills.
  • Performing weekly Resident bed linen changes, Resident personal laundry and commercial linen.
  • Ensuring that laundry is picked up and dropped off in a timely manner and confirm that personal laundry is returned to the proper apartment.
  • Performing assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Getting things done and making Residents and Co-workers happy; being resourceful and a Solution Provider.
  • Supporting and cooperating with specific procedures and programs for safety (including universal precautions and safe work practices), fire, risk management, disaster and security plans.
  • Reporting and/or correcting unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
  • Following up and maintaining compliance with all OSHA programs, policies and procedures.
