About The Position

The Laundry Supervisor position at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System (STVHCS) is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Environmental Management Service (EMS) at the Kerrville VA Hospital. This role involves planning work schedules, establishing workflows, and ensuring that linen demands are met for both the Kerrville and Audie L. Murphy Campuses, as well as for outside agencies contracted by the Veterans Administration. The supervisor operates with minimal supervision and is expected to demonstrate initiative and sound judgment in managing the laundry operations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in supervising or managing laundry operations or similar services.
• Ability to establish work schedules and manage workflow effectively.
• Knowledge of safety and operational standards in a laundry environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a healthcare setting or with veteran services.
• Familiarity with textile care processing equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Plan work schedules and sequences of operations for all Textile Care employees.
• Establish workflow methods and deadlines to meet daily linen demands.
• Supervise and administer the operations and safety of the STVHCS Textile Care Processing Facility (TCPF).
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards in laundry services.
• Coordinate with outside agencies contracted by the Veterans Administration.
