About The Position

Salamander Middleburg, a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond luxury resort nestled in Virginia’s premier equestrian region, is seeking an experienced Laundry Supervisor to join our award‑winning Housekeeping Team. This leadership position is ideal for a hospitality professional with hands‑on experience in hotel laundry operations, team supervision, and luxury service standards. The Laundry Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the laundry department, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and cleanliness while upholding Forbes Five‑Star service standards. This role is responsible for training, coaching, and supporting Laundry Service Professionals and collaborating closely with Housekeeping Leadership.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in laundry operations and/or housekeeping
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Spanish
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced hospitality environment
  • Team player with a professional and service‑focused mindset
  • Flexible availability required, including AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily laundry operations in a luxury hotel environment
  • Train, coach, and mentor Laundry Service Professionals to meet quality assurance and service expectations
  • Monitor performance, conduct inspections, and provide ongoing feedback
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall condition of the laundry facility
  • Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and safety of laundry equipment
  • Implement and manage daily processes, workflows, procedures, and checklists
  • Serve as liaison between Laundry, Housekeeping, and other operational departments
  • Support and lead daily line‑ups and departmental briefings
  • Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) for Laundry and Housekeeping when assigned
  • Communicate professionally with guests and internal departments
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of resort amenities, services, and promotions
  • Follow all Forbes Five‑Star and Five Diamond standards
