About The Position

Responsible for completing processing of linen to meet quality and efficiency standards. On-the-job training and orientation will be provided. Iron, Operate or tend washing or dry-cleaning machines to wash or dry-clean industrial articles, such as cloth garments, blankets, draperies and linens. Short-term on-the-job training will be provided. Ability to work with others in a close proximity is a MUST. Bending, twisting and standing for long periods of time will be required. You are required to use your hands to handle, control and feed articles into the machines in a repetitive movement. Must be prepared to work in hot temperatures.

Requirements

Standing, bending and twisting for long periods of time
Repetitive movement using hands to feed articles into the machines
Contact with others (face-to-face) in groups and individual
Includes exposure to hot atmosphere, sounds and noise levels that can be distracting
Repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over
Work with others in a group or team
Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people
Iron, Operate extractors and driers, or direct their operation
Load or unload material into machinery
Spread fabric or clothing article on worktable or ironing board
Maintain consistent production quality
Ability to work with others in a close proximity is a MUST

Must be prepared to work in hot temperatures
Good hand-eye coordination
Must be able to stand for 8n or 10 hour shifts
May be required to bend, reach and/or lift up to 25 lbs
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to stand on feet and work in hot temperatures for several hours
