About The Position

The Laundry Driver is responsible for processing of laundry, loading and unloading of laundry vehicle and transporting laundry to and from all campuses locations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• 1-6 months of related experience.
• Must have a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping of Laundry area as well as cleaning of vehicle interior and exterior.
• Following approved safety guidelines, separating and removal of solid wastes and soiled linens for safe disposal prior to laundering of linens.
• Operates vehicle and observes all Federal, State, Local, and Hospital ordinances and policies.
• Performs routine maintenance checks on Hospital vehicles, taking vehicles in for inspection and service as needed, as well as performing preventive maintenance on Laundry equipment.
• Maintains safety check on vehicle being driven and fuels truck as needed turning in fuel receipts weekly.
• Follows all safety policy and guidelines in performing their job making sure to wear protective equipment at all times.
