About The Position

This position is at Hotel Murano in Tacoma, a property with 319 guest rooms and 30,000 sq ft of meeting space. The cleanliness of a hotel is paramount for guest satisfaction, and the housekeeping team, including the Laundry Attendant, plays a crucial role. The ideal candidate for the Laundry Attendant position will have great attention to detail to create a memorable experience for guests by preparing and maintaining guest linens. This role is considered the "Heart of the House" and provides key services for guests to relax and enjoy their stay, contributing to an outstanding guest experience.

  • Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters.
  • Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
  • Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
  • Laundry duties as required (including washing drying / ironing and folding of all SPI guest rooms linen as well as restaurant/catering linens
  • Keep laundry area/ common areas of the property clean and organized
  • Daily cleaning of housekeeping and maintenance staff restrooms
  • To understand the proper utilization of equipment and chemicals, and the knowledge of appropriate safety procedures
  • Assist houseman and housekeepers as necessary
  • Help maintain a safe work environment
  • Always respond in a friendly, helpful manner to other team members.
