About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning, drying, folding, and distributing linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items in a timely and efficient manner. The role ensures the highest standards of cleanliness and organization to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and laundry processes.
Strong attention to detail and time management.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
Inspect laundry for stains, tears, or damage and report issues to the supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and storage areas.
Follow proper procedures for handling and using cleaning chemicals and detergents.
Track laundry inventory and report low stock or shortages.
Deliver cleaned items to appropriate departments as needed.
Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Assist with uniform issuance and returns when required.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
