About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficient and timely processing of all hotel linens, terry, and other washable items. This role ensures that all laundry is cleaned, dried, folded, and stored according to brand standards and property expectations. The Laundry Attendant plays a critical part in supporting a clean, comfortable, and positive guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move continuously throughout the shift (up to 50 lbs).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential.

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and stack linens and terry following hotel and brand standards.
  • Operate all laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines.
  • Treat stains and inspect linens prior to washing, removing damaged or heavily stained items as needed.
  • Maintain an organized workflow to ensure steady production and timely delivery to room attendants.
  • Ensure all linen and terry meet cleanliness, stain-free, and presentation standards.
  • Track par levels and alert the Executive Housekeeper of shortages, damages, or abnormal usage.
  • Assist with monthly linen inventory counts.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including chemical handling, PPE use, and proper equipment operation.
  • Keep the laundry room clean, sanitized, and free of obstructions at all times.
  • Report any maintenance needs immediately (leaks, machine malfunctions, unsafe conditions).
  • Deliver clean linen and terry to housekeeping closets and retrieve soiled items.
  • Assist room attendants with linen restocking when necessary.
  • Communicate any linen quality concerns or recurring issues to leadership.
  • Efficient production rates aligned with departmental expectations.
  • Consistently clean, well-maintained, and properly organized laundry room.
  • Collaborative communication with the housekeeping team.
  • Alignment with hotel brand standards and property SOPs.
