About The Position

Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville UVA Medical Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to ensure our guests experience the highest level of comfort and cleanliness. If you take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a supportive team, we'd love to meet you! The Laundry Attendant operates or tends to washers to wash articles, such as towels, linens, blankets, napkins, etc. for the hotel. Potential Career Paths: Housekeeping Supervisor - Housekeeping Manager - Operations Manager - Assistant General Manager - General Manager - Area Vice President of Operations.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): or Work Equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Previous laundry experience preferred.
• First aid certification is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Previous laundry experience preferred.
• First aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sorts linen (terry, sheets, pillowcases). Weigh linen and load in washers.
• Load dryers.
• Know the operating function of the machines.
• Be able to maintain productivity standards on a daily basis.
• Fold linen and sheets according to proper standards.
• Place folded linen on marked shelves.
