About The Position

The Laundry Attendant position ensures that all room linens are cleaned, folded, and ready to be moved to the guest rooms throughout the day. This position is seasonal through the end of October, with potential for extension into the winter months.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be able to exhibit all physical demands listed in this job description at any given time during shift
• Must be flexible throughout season, with weekend availability
• Must be able to work independently, with little daily supervision
• Must possess a courteous and friendly rapport with guests and co-workers.
• Have interpersonal/communication skills orally and in written language.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with laundry in a commercial capacity is preferred
• Experience with laundry chemicals is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collect linens from housekeeping carts
• Sort laundry according to type and washing instructions
• Load and operate commercial washing machine and dryer according to instructions
• Fold clean linens neatly and according to established standards
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry room, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning filters and wiping down equipment
• Monitor and manage inventory of laundry chemicals and other supplies, informing supervisor when restocking is necessary
• Organize and store clean linens in designated lined closets, ensuring they are easily accessible
• Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull laundry carts and equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned
