About The Position

The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting a vibrant and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Laundry Attendant , spreading sunshine and freshness throughout our beloved Health Center.

Requirements

Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Must be willing to perform routine repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
Pleasant, tactful, courteous when around residents, and cooperates well with other employees.
Moderate to heavy physical effort 80% of the workday including repetitive folding movement, and strenuous pulling movement.
Must be able to process 50-100 pounds of laundry at a time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently.
Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled cart and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds over tiled and carpeted surfaces over long distances.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and stoop 90% of the workday.

Nice To Haves

Commercial laundry experience is desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

Collects, cleans, folds, and redistributes the Health Center member's laundry.
Ensures that all Health Center laundry is properly sorted, washed, and dried according to Local, State, and Federal health center regulations.
Ensures that the laundry is maintained in a clean, orderly, and sanitary condition.
Follows standard laundry, safety, and sanitary procedures.
