About The Position

The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation standards of linens within the accommodation industry. This position ensures that all laundry items are properly sorted, washed, dried, folded, and delivered in a timely manner to support smooth daily operations. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety guidelines.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic knowledge of laundry equipment operation and fabric care.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a laundry or housekeeping environment within the hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with commercial laundry machines and chemical handling procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Basic communication skills to interact effectively with supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and washing requirements to prevent damage and ensure optimal cleaning.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Inspect laundered items for stains, damage, or wear and report any issues to the supervisor for appropriate action.
• Fold, press, and organize clean laundry items neatly for distribution to various departments within the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including routine cleaning of machines and workspaces.
• Track laundry inventory and notify management when supplies such as detergents and fabric softeners need replenishment.
• Assist with loading and unloading laundry carts and transporting linens to designated areas promptly.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for self and colleagues.
