About The Position

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional performance in their role, embodying Ranch core values, and upholding the standards set for Forbes Five-Star properties and members of Relais & Chateaux. This position ensures the efficient and high-quality processing of all linens and laundry for the property. By providing clean, fresh, and meticulously maintained linens, the Laundry Attendant contributes directly to the property’s reputation for excellence and enhances the overall guest experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in a laundry or housekeeping role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Knowledge of proper laundry procedures, equipment operation, and chemical handling.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Soft skills or personality traits aligned with Forbes Five-Star standards, including a meticulous approach and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures and laundry chemicals, with appropriate safety measures in place.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linens, towels, and guest laundry according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment including washers, dryers, and pressing machines; ensure proper functionality and cleanliness.
  • Inspect all laundered items for cleanliness, damage, and wear, removing any substandard items from circulation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laundry area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Track and report linen inventory, damage, and loss to the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Housekeeping and F&B departments to ensure timely delivery and availability of clean linens.
  • Support Ranch standards and guest experience by ensuring all linens meet the highest quality and presentation standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
