About The Position

The primary role of the Laundry Attendant is to process all soiled linens for internal and external customers. This includes but is not limited to washing, drying, ironing and folding of linens and terry while keeping records for billing and inventory purposes.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and to be able to push and pull up to 800 pounds with the assistance of a cart
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to withstand constant movement of the extremities
• Ability to bend at waist and perform repetitive hand, wrist and foot action
• Ability to work in hot environments
• Ability to keep good records
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

• Laundry facility work preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Processing linens on ironer and folding terry – 86% of shift
• Clean work area – 10% of shift
• Record keeping – 3% of shift
• Other duties assigned – 1% of shift
• Sorting soiled linens and terry
• Cleaning of all work areas and equipment
• Assembling of linen bins for delivery
• Completing other duties as assigned
