About The Position

The Hotel Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning, drying, folding, stocking, and distributing hotel linens, and towels, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and efficiency. Additionally, clean hotel lobby, restrooms, remove trash, strip guest rooms of linens and towels. This role supports overall guest satisfaction by ensuring timely availability of clean, well-maintained laundry items and the overall cleanliness of the hotel public areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred (hotel or hospitality experience a plus)
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and fabric care
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods
• Ability to work in a warm, humid environment
• Manual dexterity to fold, sort, and handle laundry efficiently
• Full-time position
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as required

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press hotel linens, and towels according to established procedures
• Strip guest rooms of linens and towels daily
• Clean lobby, restrooms, remove trash, mop & vacuum floors
• Operate laundry equipment including washers, dryers
• Inspect linens and garments for stains, damage, or wear and report issues to management
• Maintain accurate counts of linens and stock floor closets and carts daily
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety and sanitation standards
• Distribute clean linens to appropriate closets and team members
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times
• Assist other housekeeping duties as needed including houseperson duties
• Respond promptly to special or urgent laundry or housekeeping requests
