About The Position

The Laundry Attendant at The St. Regis San Francisco is responsible for operating and controlling laundry machinery, including washing, dry cleaning, and drying clothes. This role involves inspecting items for stains or damage, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring proper handling of laundry items. Requirements

Responsibilities

• Operate and control machinery for washing, dry cleaning, and drying clothes.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine appropriate treatment.
• Inspect cleanliness of items removed from washers, dryers, or dry cleaning machines.
• Schedule time and temperature settings for dryers based on fabric types.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer and dry cleaning machine filters after each load.
• Fold clean items to designated sizes, either manually or using a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of washed and pressed items.
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of company proprietary information; protect company assets.
• Support coworkers and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Assist the team in achieving common goals.
• Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
• Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 25 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods during the work shift.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Navigate uneven, sloped, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Perform other reasonable job-related tasks as requested by supervisors.
