About The Position

The Laundry Attendant at AC Hotel San Jose Downtown is responsible for laundering, altering, and repairing linens, towels, and other items in accordance with established standards. The role involves maintaining linen and towel par levels for all hotel operations, removing damaged and stained linen from circulation, and making repairs when possible. The attendant will also sort and prepare soiled hotel linen for pickup by contracted laundry services and keep accurate records of laundry services. Safety procedures must be followed, and the work area must be kept clean and organized. The position may also require assisting fellow housekeeping team members and performing other tasks as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

• 1 year hotel housekeeping/laundry experience or related experience
• Knowledge of cleaning/laundry techniques/chemical applications is a plus
• Desire to work in a fast-paced role

Responsibilities

• Launders, alters and repairs linens, towels and other items in accordance with established standards
• Maintains linen and towel par levels for all hotel operations
• Removes damaged and stained linen from circulation and makes repairs when possible
• Sorts and prepares soiled hotel linen for pickup by contracted laundry service(s)
• Receives and processes laundry service deliveries
• Keeps accurate and complete records of laundry services
• Follows all safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions immediately
• Uses equipment and chemicals only as intended
• Keeps work area and inventory clean and organized
• Assists fellow housekeeping team members when possible and appropriate
• Performs other tasks as assigned based on business needs
