About The Position

The Laundry Associate I delivers fresh processed linen to all areas of the Franciscan hospital and offsite physician locations. This position, also, gathers, sorts, and cleans specialty linens used by various hospital units. The Laundry Associate I maintains cleanliness of the linen areas and laundry equipment, and loads dirty linen carts for processing off-site. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Deliver clean linens to all areas of the hospital and ensure an adequate supply of linens is available. Ensure the laundry department and laundry equipment are well maintained and at acceptable levels of cleanliness. Gather soiled linens, inspect and identify items requiring special treatment. Operate washers, driers, and extractors and regulate machine processes, the volume of soap, detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives. Sort and count articles removed from the dryers and folds, wrap or hang them. Take inventory counts of each unit assigned, marks laundry articles with identifying code numbers or names.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED
• 1 year laundry experience
• Valid driver's license and proof of insurance - Crawfordsville only
