About The Position

The position involves performing day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards/regulations and company policies. The role ensures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner and that an adequate supply of linens is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents. Responsibilities include collecting and sorting soiled laundry, washing items according to established procedures, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department.
• Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Collect and sort soiled laundry, linens, and garments.
• Wash items in accordance with established procedures.
• Fold, count, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linens, and garments.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, and damp/wet mopping.
• Keep walls and ceilings clean by washing, wiping, dusting, and disinfecting.
• Discard waste/trash in proper containers.
• Use equipment and cleaning chemicals properly and safely.
• Monitor laundry supplies and report inventory levels to supervisor.
• Report any equipment irregularities and malfunctions to supervisor.
• Attend all required training, in-services, and staff meetings.
