About the position

The Laundry Aide is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of linens and personal clothing within the facility. This role involves washing, drying, and folding laundry, while ensuring a respectful and professional environment for residents, families, and staff. The position requires effective communication, adherence to safety protocols, and participation in team meetings.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and fold clean linen according to procedures.
• Deliver clean and sanitary linen and personal clothing to designated areas.
• Keep work area clean and sanitary.
• Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all residents, families, visitors, and fellow employees.
• Foster mature professional relationships with fellow employees.
• Maintain professional composure during stressful situations.
• Maintain open communication regarding issues using the appropriate chain of command.
• Conduct all work activities with respect for the rights and wishes of residents, visitors, families, and fellow employees.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Bethel and resident information.
• Display a positive attitude within Bethel and across departmental lines.
• Participate in staff meetings as determined by Supervisor.
• Complete work assignments on time and readily accept assignments.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Operate assigned equipment and perform all procedures in a safe manner.
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics in all functions.
• Report safety concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
• Follow Bethel's exposure control plans and demonstrate knowledge of techniques and procedures.
