About The Position

Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Laundry Aide to join our team. The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring that all linens, garments, and facility laundry are cleaned, sanitized, and distributed in a timely and efficient manner. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 30–50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat and humidity
  • Part-time hours; must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Healthcare facility with exposure to cleaning chemicals, laundry equipment, and biohazard materials (with proper safety protocols in place)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens
  • Operate and maintain laundry equipment according to safety and operational guidelines
  • Follow infection control and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Label and organize residents’ personal clothing to prevent loss or mix-ups
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
  • Monitor laundry supplies and notify supervisor when inventory is low
  • Handle soiled laundry with proper protective equipment and procedures
  • Provide courteous and respectful service to residents and staff
