About The Position

Ovation Communities is seeking a Laundry Aide to provide maintenance to all linens and Clothing for residents. The Laundry Aide will down dirty laundry and return clean laundry folded and ironed if needed.

Requirements

• Must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion.
• Read, write and speak the English language.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervised food service experience in a skilled nursing facility, retirement facility, or residential service is preferred.
• Prior experience in commercial and/or residential cleaning is favorable, but not necessary.
• Prior experience in commercial and/or residential laundry is favorable, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• The laundry worker will bring residents laundry down the laundry room.
• Wash and dry iron and fold laundry and return to the apartment.
• Some residents will require changing of bed linen in the apartment.
• Gather soiled linens to prepare for sorting and pretreatment of stains
• Load and unload washers and dryers.
• Iron personal garments and linens as needed
• Assists in emergency laundering needs upon request.
